Generation adidas Cup Ones To Watch
Under-15 Players From MLS Clubs
Steel Cook - Fc Dallas
Steel Cook (Christopher Cook) is a central midfielder for FC Dallas’ Under-15 squad. He is able to break lines both with a pass and with the all at his feet. A true all around midfielder who seems to be able to play anywhere in the midfield. Cook has been with the USYNT U15s, and he wears the number 10 for FC Dallas.
Omar Hassan - Seattle Sounders
Omar Hassan is an electric winger for the Seattle Sounders and the USYNT. A true strength of his is found in his pace. He is able to beat out nearly anyone with the ball at his feet, and he has proved that multiple times this season. Omar bagged his first goal for the USYNT in late 2023, and he will be a top player for the Sounders at Ga Cup.
Tyson Espy - LAFC
A true ball playing… and ball winning central defender for LAFC. Tyson Espy has been one of the standouts on one of the best Under-15 squads in the country. Espy is another player who represented the USYNT in late 2023, and when we watched him against the Portland Timbers and the Seattle Sounders he looked to be one of the best on the pitch.
Deven Cadigan - New York Red Bulls
Cadigan has a very similar play style to Steel Cook. He is phenomenal on the ball, and he is also a great goal scorer from the midfield. Cadigan is unafraid to take long shots, and a lot of them find the top corner. Cadigan is yet to earn his USYNT debut, so Generation adidas Cup will be a massive opportunity for him to impress.
Max Steelman - LA Galaxy
Our first center-forward is on e of the best number nines in the entire country. Steelman has been racking up the goals this season for La Galaxy’s U15 squad. Steelman is another pacy player who can take nearly anyone on when he has the ball. He is also very gritty. Steelman has a work ethic that is next to none, and even though he is one of the best he still fights for every single ball.
Myles Gardner - Houston Dynamo
It is still unclear as to wether Gardner will play for the U15s or the U17s at Ga Cup. He has recently been the first 2009 player to debut in MLS Next Pro when he subbed on for the Houston Dynamo last weekend. Gardner will be an interesting player to watch at Ga Cup as we have not seen a ton of film on him.
Jamil Danjaji - Columbus Crew
The only 2010 born player to feature on this list is one from the Columbus Crew. Danjaji is miles ahead of everyone in terms of pure athleticism. Danjaji is a menace for the Crew up top, and paired with striker partner Price Forfor they are virtually unstoppable.
James Donaldson - Atlanta United
Our U15 keeper is James Donaldson from Atlanta United. Donaldson is a top player for Atlanta United and the USYNT. A great shot stopper, but he also has a phenomenal ability to play out of the back. Someone who is truly an all around baller.
Zach Olah - Orlando City
Zach Olah is yet another top 2009-born striker who has been racking up the goals for Orlando City this season. Olah played up for Orlando City last Generation adidas Cup, and he has proved to be one of their most important players this season. If Olah has a good tournament Orlando City could make a run.
Jordan Eason - Fc Dallas
The second FC Dallas player on our list is winger Jordan Eason. Eason is dynamic on the ball, and he is one of the best 2009 dribblers we have seen. Eason is shifty, and his play style reminds us of Vinicius Jr. from Real Madrid. Eason has the opportunity to break out as one of the most well known names at Ga Cup.
Under-17 Players From MLS Club
Ian James - Sporting Kansas City
Ian James has catapulted himself into the top of the U.S Youth Soccer game. James is a central defender for Sporting KC who recently made his professional debut with the second team. James has progressed massively in the last year, and rumors are swirling that he has earned his first USYNT call up.
Ian Witis - FC Dallas
Two Ians is much better than one in our opinion. This Ian plays a much more forward position for Fc Dallas U17s. He has been coined by many that he is the most pro-ready 2007 player on this squad, and he has been bagging in goals. Witis’ long shots are one of a kind, and he will be looking to breakout at Ga Cup.
Julian Hall - New York Red Bulls
Hall is one of those guys who broke out at last year’s Generation Adidas Cup… so much so he is now signed to adidas. Hall bagged a brace against Chelsea last year, and he was the leading scorer of the entire tournament. Hall will look to lead the Red Bulls to the championship this time around.
Chase Adams - Columbus Crew
We highlighted Chase Adams’ wild story to the top of youth football not to long ago. He is a player who is physically dominant even though he is playing up a year. Adams is also a known goal scorer, and he made his professional debut last weekend.
Noah Santos - Portland Timbers
Noah Santos broke out in the scene two years ago when he lead his team to a Generation adidas Cup victory. Santos was named player of the tournament, and he will look to repeat this. Known for his beautiful goals and dynamic dribbling at the U17 level.
Adriano Samayoa - LAFC
Adriano Samayoa îs a winger very similar to Jordan Eason from Fc Dallas. He is very tekky, and will take anyone on one vs one. Samayoa bagged a goal and drew a penalty when we watched him play in Portland, and he was among the top players on the pitch.
Adyn Torres - Atlanta United
Adyn Torres is a names everyone should have on their list. He is a phenomenal midfielder for Atlanta United, and he runs it like no one else at the U17 level. Torres has already signed a professional contract and boot deal with adidas football.
Cooper Sanchez - Atlanta United
Cooper Sanchez is one of those lesser known players who has a an extremely high upside. He partners with Adyn Torres in the midfield. Sanchez is brilliant at breaking the last line of defenders, and he is our early pick of breakout star at the Ga Cup.
Cavan Sullivan - Philadelphia Union
Cavan Sullivan is a name everyone will be looking at come next Saturday. It is Sullivan has been the name in the headlines throughout the past two months for is possibly move to Manchester City. Sullivan is high on both the USYNT’s and Germany’s watchlist.
Zidane Yanez - NYCFC
Zidane Yanez recently signed a homegrown deal with NYCFC, and he will certainly look to further cement his name at Generation AdidasCup. Yanez has represented both the USYNT and Chile at the International level, and he is another one of those phenomenal goal scorers.
